Nigerian women just keep dominating football. Anambra-born Maureen Nkeiruka Mmadu, the first Nigerian woman to coach a European football club.
A former Nigerian football coach and midfielder, Maureen was the first Nigerian player to make 100 appearances for the Nigeria women’s national football team as well as appearing at four FIFA Women’s World Cups.

Now in Norway slaying, Maureen is the first Nigerian women’s football coach attached to a top European club at Avaldsnes.
Even with such an impressive résumé, Maureen is only just getting started, she also wants to coach the super falcons, saying:
“If I am given the opportunity to handle the Super Falcons, I am going to bring in my best with a lot of experience and teach them how modern-day football is played.”
